FAQs

Answers to the top questions asked about working with TradeCentric

Suppliers typically reach out when buyers start asking for PunchOut catalogs or eProcurement integrations, or when manual workarounds or in-house builds get too costly to maintain. They also have more than one buyer they want to connect. Buyers come to us when they want to manage supplier connections themselves, or need help onboarding the suppliers that matter most.

Suppliers need a system that can send and receive orders electronically, and if they want Punchout, an eCommerce ordering site is required. They should also have at least two or three buyers they want to integrate. Buyers need an eProcurement or ERP system and a list of priority suppliers. Partners should know whether their client is a buyer or supplier, which systems they use, and what’s driving the request. Just getting started? Check out our Starter Guide

A Business Development Representative will connect with you to learn what you need and confirm if we’re a good fit. Next, you’ll meet with an Account Executive and Solutions Architect to talk through the technical details and the trading partners you want to connect, followed by a tailored demo. We’ll align on solution design and scope before a contract is signed, and then onboarding begins. If you are coming on behalf of a client, please plan to bring them into these conversations.

No. PunchOut is often where projects start, but TradeCentric also offers PO Automation, Invoice Automation, PO Acknowledgment, Advanced Shipping Notices (ASN), and eQuotes, plus Peppol invoicing and PCI Tokenization. If your team still rekeys orders, invoices, or quotes by hand, tell us where. We’ll help you figure out what solutions will help and how.

It’s an ongoing partnership. We design your solution around your commerce system, your buyers’ procurement systems, and your growth goals, and then keep managing it as those change. That’s why agreements are typically three years, with support, monitoring, and optimization included. If you only need one quick connection, let’s talk about that early so we can decide together if we’re a good fit for your needs.

Some teams do, and it’s a fair question. The first connection is usually the easy part. The real question is whether you want to own every buyer connection after that (new systems, requirements, testing, monitoring, and changes) for years. If you’d rather your IT team focus elsewhere, that’s what we’re built for. See the tradeoffs: TradeCentric vs. DIY
